I have just had one of the best lunches in a long time. Being able to walk there just makes it that much better. If you have not had a chance to visit Dew then you simply must go. They are making astoundingly good Bahn Mi(vietnamese with bit of french influence) sandwiches and other delicious simple sandwiches. I also enjoyed a light and refreshing noodle salad with carrot and cilantro. The space is clean, both in actuality and feel, well laid out and enjoyable and the prices are cheap to boot. I have a feeling I will be eating there a lot. On that same note, a new restaurant just opened in downtown Provo called Spark. I have not had a chance to eat there yet but will keep you posted.

My family and I are some of your frequent customers. We make it there about twice a month, (despite living on grad student loans.) I just wanted you to know, in case word never got back to you, that while we were in New York a few weeks ago scouting out housing, we ate at Mario Batali's Otto. I am such a lover of food, that I live by the mantra of Anton Ego: "I don't like food, I love it... if I don't love it I don't swallow." I just thought you should know my palate was left thoroughly unsatisified at Otto's. This was of course remedied my another visit to pizzeria 712. Wood-fired ovens are not allowed in Manhattan, so I suppose Mario was at a disatvantage. Who would've thought I'd have to make trips from NYC to Orem to get good pizza? It's OK with me, though--I'm that committed. :-)

Michelle- thank you for your kind words. We will be out in NY next month to do research for a new restaurant and are planning on hitting one of batali's places. We'll let you know how it is.

pizzeria 712 is the best restaurant i've been to... my mouth gets excited just thinking about the simple pizza i enjoyed there probably close to a year ago. yum. please open one up down here in orange county. cool blog too! love love love this place. <3
